Dear Grace Family and Friends,

Thank you for responding positively to the chairs!  They aren’t very comfortable.  And we all would prefer the pews.  But they have served us very well for the past 22 years.  It’ll be worth it when they’re reinstalled.  Not only will the wood surfaces be refinished and the fabric replaced, they’ll also have brand new, dense foam padding.  With the new carpet and freshly painted walls, we’ll be set for the next twenty plus years!  It’s hard to believe we’ve been in this facility for that long.  Time surely flies when you’re having fun, and it’s surely been fun for me.  There are a few other things that need to be updated.  We still have about five of the original air conditioning units and they’ll likely need to be replaced within the next year.  We also have some issues with the windows.  The seals have broken on many of the panes and they look odd from the road.  They can be replaced for about fifty thousand dollars.  That’s a lot of money but this is a big building, and we need to keep it in good repair since it represents our glorious Savior to the community all around us.  So be in prayer with me about these issues.  Perhaps we can use the excess General Budget giving at the end of year to complete the refurbish.  But however God leads, we should be grateful for the facility He has blessed us with.  There are larger buildings in the area but I’m not aware of one better suited for ministry.  And by His grace, we have plenty of room to expand when the time comes!  My hope and prayer is that we continue to grow such that we need additional buildings in the future.  When Churches cease to grow they begin to die.  God intends for Grace Baptist of Evans to continue to grow until Jesus comes again.  He’s doing His part.  It’s up to you and me to invite unChurched neighbors, coworkers, family members and friends to join us for worship.  The rest is up to God.  And He does His part perfectly!  Happy Sunday!  I love you all!  May God richly bless you!
