Good Morning Church Family!  I hope you are excited about another opportunity to worship the Lord today!  He is worthy of our praise!  Psalm 145:3 says, “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.”  Think about that!  His greatness is unsearchable!  I was reading the other day and came across this statement, “In some circles, God has been abridged, reduced, modified, edited, changed and amended until He is no longer the God whom Isaiah saw, high and lifted up.”  You remember the story, the Bible says in Isaiah 6:1, “In the year that King Uzziah died, [Isaiah] saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.”  He goes on to say that angelic creatures known as “seraphim” hovered around this throne crying out:  “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory” (Isaiah 6:3)!  It was so powerful that the place was shaken!  Isaiah was so moved by what he saw and Who he saw that he declared that he was ruined.  In other words, he felt as though he was falling apart before a holy God!  That leads me to ask, “When’s the last time we fell apart before Almighty God?”  “When’s the last time we were overwhelmed by the holiness of God and our unworthiness and sinfulness before Him?”  King Uzziah had reigned 52 years and from what we can tell he was a pretty good king for the southern kingdom of Judah.  So the news of his death would have certainly sent shockwaves throughout the land, but God gave Isaiah a vision and glimpse of the Ultimate King upon His throne.  God Almighty was still reigning on His exalted throne and He is still reigning from that very throne today!  What an encouraging word for us today as the people of God.  Yes, our world is in turmoil and seems to grow more wicked by the moment.  So much violence.  So much hate.  So much manipulation.  So much corruption in manmade governments, and yet our God, the only God, is seated high upon His throne.  He’s in control!  So let’s get our eyes back on Him today and let His awesomeness and majesty produce in us the same thing it did in Isaiah 6:8b when he said, “Here am I!  Send me.”  Have a great day!  Know you’re loved!  God bless You!!
